August Weekends

I am so excited for another amazing weekend. I’m going to miss this summer so much, it was crazy busy, very hot, and happened too quickly, but I wouldn’t change a thing if I could. With weekends like this past one, I am even more looking forward to living in a state without as much winter as we have in Maryland (eventually). But Baltimore really knows how to have a summer weekend. There are just so many activities, and not enough Saturday & Sundays!

We started the weekend by going to a local happy hour in Greek Town, and it was delicious! We had both been saying that we hoped we could find an authentic greek restaurant to have comparable food to what we had in Greece, and Ikaros in Baltimore did not disappoint. It also helped that their happy hour was SO delicious and at a very good price point. After happy hour we went home to organize a little more of the wedding madness that is our house. Eventually this stuff will all be cleaned up…right? I am sure hoping so!

Saturdays are the best days for sleeping in…right? Wrong! We were up at 6am to start checking things off of our to-do list with changing my name. I am so excited to officially be a Volpe everywhere except for on my license. That’s another story for another post I have coming up though, it is such a process changing your name and I am hopeful that I can be a bit helpful to some other recently married gals :)

Peach Lemonade IMG_5349

After the legal-ness of the morning, we needed to have a fun afternoon. A local farm was having a Peach festival, and I love me some peaches, so we decided to stop by. I was disappointed by the lack of peach-things, but I was able to get some pretty good peach lemonade, so I shouldn’t complain.

The restaurant where my bridal shower was held is the perfect evening spot on the water, so my mom organized a surprise party for him and it was great!

When we finally woke up on Sunday we ran some errands and then attempted to clean our house a little more. I finally organized the bathroom..so much fun, right? Besides that we relaxed and got thank-you’s done!

This is going to be an insanely busy week, but I am excited for everything that is going on.

Here’s to the week & happy Monday!

Also, have you heard about Play! the upcoming Sephora monthly subscription box? It is starting in¬†Boston, Columbus, and Cincinnati next month, and then going national in 2016. I can’t wait to see if it lives up to the hype…I have been thinking about canceling Ipsy anyways.

I am linking up with B Loved Boston for Weekending!

Aggghhh you have Ipsy? I had it for a few months and then started to loathe it. I did a comparison post between Birchbox and Ipsy and it’s still my most pinned pin and most read post. So crazy how some things stick. The Sephora box sounds awesomee! I can’t wait to read how it does!

I have had it for two years and about 6 months ago I started to get tired of it. Many of the things are the same at this point. I’ll have to read that post! A Sephora box should be awesome, I am hoping for a good one!
