• 45 Post-Wedding Blog Post Ideas

When it comes to blogging about your wedding, if you are anything like me, you want to remember all of the details for the future. Those days when you want to feel nostalgic and look back on one of the best days, it’s nice to have the memories laid out somewhere. Blogging is very similar to scrapbooking in this way, it’s a way to see the past in a visual sense, but to also like a journal to read about the memories and feelings you had. I have loved sharing about my wedding, from the little details up until the last few minutes of June 20th, 2015. I wanted to…

{Volpes Tie The Knot} Thank You For Following Along

I can’t believe I have finished the personal recaps of our wedding day. It has been so much fun reliving our special day over the last year, and I am happy to know I will always have these Wedding Wednesday posts to come back to. While I have several weeks lined up full of advice posts, like why we did a first look, it’s weird to know that I have totally finished sharing details from our own wedding. I hope you have enjoyed the recaps, and I will finish off with some photos that weren’t included in other posts. Enjoy! If you would like to catch up on Wedding Wednesday…

  • Volpes Tie The Knot: The Bloopers

Every wedding will have a mishap, whether it’s a slight one or a major one, it is bound to happen. This is something I had to realize early on, but I am so glad I did because we had some big ones. Looking back, some of these things really make me laugh, and having them as apart of our memories is actually quite nice. Dave and I aren’t a very traditional couple, and as I’ve mentioned we wanted a fun wedding, some of these bloopers sure did help with that. Some people could probably say that our entire┬áreception was a blooper, which could be the case if you’re afraid…

  • Volpes Tie The Knot: The Send-Off

I knew right away that I wanted to have a sparkler send-off for our wedding. After working so many weddings and seeing how they looked in the photos, and also getting engaged on the 4th of July, it just seemed to fit. But then as most of you know, things started to change with the weather. With rain in the forecast, I still had the sparklers, the sparkler exit sign and hope that it would still happen. Then to be honest, I totally forgot about it while we were knee deep in a muddy dance floor signing out hearts out. When they DJ announced the last song, we all wanted…

Volpes Tie The Knot: Our Wedding Video

I debated sharing this video for Wedding Wednesday, and I’m not even sure why. While I don’t totally love this video (it is literally nothing like the examples we were shown), I absolutely loved that we have these moments caught in real time, in live action. Photos are amazing, but being able to actually watch a video and see the moments before and after really is special. We originally didn’t have room in our budget for a videographer, but we knew we needed to find a way to have one. Honestly, I wish we would have spent more on a different one that could have captured our day in a…

  • My Favorite Wedding Moments

I had an entirely different post planned for this Wedding Wednesday this week, but if I am being honest, I’m not ready to near the end of my own wedding recaps. By the end of June I will be finished with recapping my own wedding, and bringing tips, reflections and ideas to Wedding Wednesday instead. As a wedding planner, there are so many things I want to share with brides, but I want them to be more personal, which means I will be sharing them here rather than on the Enchanting Events blog. With that being said, Wedding Wednesday will still be cohosted here and on Nikki’s blog (so check…
