February Monthly Recap (And Link-Up!)

I feel like every month I start my posts by saying how quickly the month went by- and this month isn’t any different. Weren’t we just sailing around the Bahamas to start the new year? Is this something that happens as people continue to get older? Time just goes by faster and faster until all of a sudden you have great grandchildren or something?
February was my version of a “slower” month. We weren’t crazy busy during the week, freeing up time for us to just relax. That was SO nice. I sometimes forget what it’s like to not be busy, and it’s a rejuvenating feeling. But then again I enjoy doing things as well- this month we found a great balance. I’m hoping this entire year is full of balance- between busy and relaxing, friends and family, new memories home and away. It really has been a joyful year so far.
We started the month by skiing in PA for the day. Dave works a kids snow camp 5 weekends out of the winter, and I decided to join him after it ended one day. I needed to get my legs back in skis before Colorado. We had a fun night together- but man was it freezing! It reminded me that I really needed to get some better cold weather attire.
Raleigh was calling our name for a friends 30th birthday surprise party. We headed down to our favorite city for a few days and enjoyed the almost 80 degree weather. It was the perfect party to be able to hang out outside, enjoy good food and drink all the beer. It was amazing to see a large group of late-twenties and early-thirties people playing flip cup until the beer was literally gone. Don’t worry- somebody got more!
Enchanting Events booked a few more couples and we can not wait for these weddings. I’m so excited that God put us in these couples lives as their wedding planner. We also participated in a beautiful styled shoot. I posted a sneak peak on the Enchanting Events Instagram page and I will be sharing more soon!
Our Valentine’s Day was low key with fondue and then my birthday weekend quickly approached. It was another weekend with AMAZING weather I was left feeling so thankful for those few days. We got away with two of our best friends, wine tasted around Virginia, enjoyed delicious cheeses, and laughed the whole time. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect weekend to celebrate turning 26. Up until a few years ago I was dead set on always going out (and getting cray) inviting a bunch of people and celebrating hard, but I am really starting to realize that the best birthday gift I could get is a fun time with my close friends..that I will remember. Especially if we are able to take a trip somewhere as well.
I (almost) officially have another sister!! My brother-in-law proposed to his girlfriend at Towson University, where they first met. It was such a sweet day and she was so surprised. We were honored to be included in this special moment and the countdown is on for their wedding. I love these two and truly think they were made for one another.
The blogger babes finally got together again and had a great night. I am constantly in awe of how amazing each of these girls are. They all have a fierce love for their people, and I am honored to be one of them. I don’t know if I will ever know how four random strangers could turn into such best friends of mine but I will always be thankful for them.
I mentioned last month that my cousin had her baby and oh my goodness has he become the apple of all of our eyes. He is the cutest little thing and we all wait in line to hold him. He loves family dinner, spending days with his nanny (aka my sister, Emily) and taking naps at his great grandparents. I made a video of his first (almost) 2 months and I can’t wait to continue watching him grow!
I smoothie cleansed for a while throughout this month, had a delicious vegan meal, found out two of my closest friends are having babies just a few weeks apart (the beginning of September and the beginning of October!) and spent time with my favorite little babes. It was a good, good month.

I feel you on how quickly time is going by. I just said to Chris yesterday that I feel like we were just celebrating New Years and now its MARCH?! UGH! Not ok- the year is 1/4 over…
Wait, Dave teaches little kids to ski?! I didn’t know that! So cute! That means your little ones are going to be pretty great skiers doesn’t it? :) I forgot about our Blate! This is what happens when no photos are taken, I should start going back through my planner and not my camera roll. So many babies in your life right now too! I guess this is what happens when we get older..

It really is crazy how fast this year has flown by! I love that y’all still got some traveling in this month, even if it wasn’t on flights anywhere! And you have a lot of friends and family members that have some big life events coming up! That’ll make the year go by even quicker!
