You know how many people say they need a vacation after vacation? For once that isn’t me! Our honeymoon has left me feeling refreshed, inspired and happy to be back to a normal routine. While it was amazing wandering the streets of Europe and visiting with friends, it has been a good week in Baltimore.
The first few days of the week were a bit exhausting, just because I had been in 2 other timezones over the last 3 weeks, but once I was used to this timezone again I was good to go. It was so nice to relax during those days of adjustment, and catch up on the shows I had missed. I was also taking advantage of a very snuggly SharkBait during those few days, I think she missed us.
I have also had two sister dates this week, which is awesome. As we get older we appreciate each other more, which also means I am so overly excited to see her after I haven’t for a while. The first night I was happy to have her tag along to have my phone fixed, which is a whole other story where basically I couldn’t even turn my phone on for our entire trip. Apple had fixed the problem 2 days before we left, and then as soon as we were on the airplane to Rome, it started again. I happily accepted a new iPhone when I visited the store again.
Wednesday was family dinner, our 3rd anniversary, and some time out on the boat and swimming. These are my favorite summer nights, I can never get enough of evenings spent like this. Even as I begin to look forward to fall, there will never be a feeling to replace a boat ride. I am also so blessed to have dinner with my family every week, I have missed this while we were away!
There are several movies that came out in our absence, and I was excited to finally see Paper Towns! I read the book, review coming soon, and was nervous to see how everything went in the movie. I was a bit disappointed in all of the bigger events that were left out, but that is to be expected. I am still deciding how to feel about it in general though.
This weekend we are hanging out with some of our friends that just got engaged! I can’t wait to talk weddings!
Have a great Friday!
p.s. some wonderful news from this week…did you hear that the NFL finally has a female coach?! YAY!!
