April was such a great month. It seemed to go by somewhat slowly, we enjoyed downtime and traveled a little. It was a great balance between busy and relaxing. I hate to say it, but that was the best blogging break I could have asked for. I hope the rest of the year follows this pattern (with the exception of blogging!), though it looks like May is going to be a doozy. Thankfully we are ending the month in Napa/Sonoma with some friends…I am counting down the days!
This month was the third rendition of the #HeresToYou Instagram challenge with the Baltimore Blogger Babes. Annie, Megan Laura and I hosted #HeresToYouApril and I loved looking at the photos everyone shared! I somehow managed to stick with the challenge for 85% of the month. I think it helped me get back into the Instagram game. It was also nice since I was taking a blogging break.
What better way to start a month than to tour Light City with the Blogger Babes + Boys & other friends? Light City is such a fun way to bring people to Baltimore and yet again it was really cool. We enjoyed walking around the harbor and other neighborhoods with our friends, and laughed through the entire night as usual. How am I so lucky to know these people?
I spent a weekend in Raleigh where my friend asked me to be a bridesmaid (I said YES!), spent a beautiful day downtown, helped her with some wedding planning and we flew through Big Little Lies. Have you watched it? I actually guessed the 2-part ending towards the beginning of the series was was still shocked at how everything went down! It was a great girls weekend.
We finished Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. I’m going to dive deeper into this class in future posts because it has helped us so much. We now have a budget, talk more openly about money and have goals to get us where we want to be.
We celebrated Easter in the best way…Bethany Beach with my family! One of my favorite traditions is Easter at the beach and it was even sweeter with my new nephew there with us. Mayson is getting bigger day by day and I’m so thankful to be around for so many big changes. We all had so much fun. We even got some actual beach time in on Easter when it was 85 degrees!
We celebrated Megan’s birthday 90’s style AND we also celebrated her engagement to Chris!! You can read all about her adorable proposal here (Chris killed it!). I am so excited and overjoyed for these two and I can’t wait to celebrate them until their wedding day. Megan and Chris started dating right after (literally 2 days after!) the four of us blogger babes met, and it’s been so much fun watching their relationship evolve from the beginning. The adventure is continuing and we’re thankful to be here to watch it happen!
We also went to a oyster roast, finally finished a project, went winery hoping with my MIL and started some new routines. We even ended the month with the first crab feast of the season. I can’t wait for more! I am really excited for everything this month has in store!
