#HeresToYouDecember: Introduce Your Selfie

Introduce Your Selfie

Lets here it for the final month of 2015, and the first day of #HeresToYouDecember! Since today’s prompt is Introduce Your Selfie, I wanted to bring it to the blog and do a full introduction here! I have done a few intros in the past, but since there are some new faces around here, I am excited to do another one…as a WIFE! Hopefully you enjoy these 10 random facts, and join in for #HeresToYouDecember on Instagram!

  1. My favorite colors are purple and green, and I strongly dislike the color yellow.
  2. My favorite holiday is the 4th of July. It got even better when Dave asked me to marry him on July 4th, 2014. Cooking out, spending time with friends and family, all of the fireworks, and great conversation. What is better?!
  3. I only enjoy driving when I am by myself, I know exactly where I am going and I can listen to whatever music I want as loud as I can. Other than that, I will always happily sit in the passenger seat, or the backseat.
  4. I hate bandaids, most types of tape and stickers. Even just typing that made me cringe. I’m not sure what it is about them, but I feel sick to my stomach anytime I need to use tape, and will fully avoid stickers and bandaids at all cost.
  5. I was homeschooled for 7 years and loved it. I only went to public school because I planned on applying to a magnet vocational high school, if I wouldn’t have made it in, I would have been homeschooled again.
  6. I was nominated Most Spirited for my graduating class (my only goal through high school haha) and Homecoming Queen my senior year.
  7.  My first vehicle was a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I absolutely loved it. I would have kept it forever if things didn’t start going wrong. Once I was driving a few friends and my entire car started shaking, I had to come to a complete stop on the highway and almost got hit by an 18-wheeler- fun times! I would do anything to have that Jeep back though!
  8. I don’t think I could ever choose between Friday Night Lights and One Tree Hill as my favorite tv show. They were seriously the best. Pretty Little Liars and Parenthood are an extremely close 2nd.
  9. I am the oldest of 5, and my youngest sibling is 8. I recently realized that I really only talk about my sister on the blog, I guess I will have to do some updates with my brothers included as well. Two of my three brothers are in the photo above, that was taken just a few months before we found out another brother was on the way.
  10. I am somewhat obsessed with the Baltimore Ravens, sharks, anything nautical, traveling and mugs!

Besides these 10 facts, you can learn some more on my about page, or on either of these posts from may.

I hope to see you joining in the #HeresToYouDecember fun!

What is a random fact about you?

  • Megan

YYYAYYYYY its December! I’m loving these random facts- I’m learning so much! 4th of July is hands down top 3 for me. My little town had the biggest parade and fireworks display in our county and it was awesome! The bandaids and tape thing is interesting. But I get it, there are things that are not easy to explain but you just feel a certain way about it. Mine is cotton balls. Opening new pill bottles is hell for me. I love this list! So pumped to see your photossss :)

Fireworks are the BEST, I bet they are awesome in a small town. I really don’t know what it is about bandaids and tape, I just can’t stand them. That is too funny, I can kind of see that though, cotton balls feel super weird.

I’m so excited for this Instagram challenge! I totally loved One Tree Hill when it was on tv, but I haven’t watched Friday Night Lights. It’s on my list to binge watch this summer, especially since it’s about Texas. Can’t wait to follow along for this challenge!

OTH was amazing. You would love Friday Night Lights, it is an all time favorite for sure. I could watch it over and over.

I am definitely going to participate for this challenge. My mom has begged me to watch Friday Night Lights and I still haven’t. That is next on my Netflix watch list!! My first car would shake so much too there at the end, but I had so many good times in that little Kia haha

    • http://totravelandbeyond.com/ Macy Volpe

Oh my gosh you have to see it, I really think you would like it. I could watch it again and again. There are also some pretty great guys in it. That is exactly how I feel about my jeep! It was a death trap but I had so many memories in it.

I didn’t know you were one of 5! I love learning all this stuff about you and definitely agree about driving, though I’ve never thought about it before. I also love to sing in the car but am very self conscious when others are around 😉 I love that you were voted Most Spirited – I can totally see that! I was “Most Likely to Succeed.”

    • http://totravelandbeyond.com/ Macy Volpe

Yep! There are lots of us 😉 That is awesome, I could see “most likely to succeed” for you!

  • Lauren

Girrrrlllll I understand the #muglife! And I totally forgot about your bandaid and sticker thing!

    • http://totravelandbeyond.com/ Macy Volpe

That’s a good amount of siblings…wow! I love learning about my fellow bloggers…bring on the coffee mugs, I LOVE them too!

    • http://totravelandbeyond.com/ Macy Volpe

Oh yes it is. Sometimes it’s great, most times it is crazy. Especially being the oldest. Mugs are the best! I did some damage in Starbucks on Cyber Monday.

Oldest of 5 that is awesome! You must love being a big sister! I don’t like the color yellow either!!! I loved my first car too so much.. It got totaled in an accident so I had to get rid of it wahhhhh!

    • http://totravelandbeyond.com/ Macy Volpe

Most of the time it is, sometimes it’s a lot to handle. I have always loved being the oldest though, each of them has such a different personality, it has been great watching them grow up. I am so happy to hear of someone else that doesn’t like yellow, it reminds most people of happiness….I don’t see it lol
