{Volpes Tie The Knot} Our Invitations!

Invitation Suite

Can I start by saying that I can’t believe we have been married over 2 months already?! The time has flown by and I miss everything so much already. Married life is amazing though, so for all of you that are getting ready for your own big day, soak in every moment. I am so thankful for the time we had prior to our wedding, and now after. While the mess in our house still isn’t cleaned up (perks of being a wedding planner- everything just piles up until the next wedding anyways! ha!), I love waking up next to my husband every morning, or having movie nights from our living room. It’s a blessed life on this side of the wedding!

We don’t have our professional photos yet- can you tell I am dying? I wait by the mailbox everyday, and constantly refresh my email just in case I get a glimmer of hope that they are on the way. I know it takes so much time and effort to edit thousands of photos, I could never do it, but I am so anxious!! Since we don’t have those yet, I am going to finally reveal our invitations!

Invitation Overview Rings

We designed these ourselves, and I am so proud of them! Dave and I came up with the ideas together, and then he did the design work. I love them so much and couldn’t be happier with how well they turned out. It’s so amazing watching something like this come together when you have the ideas in your mind.

Once the design was finalized we sent it to Cards and Pockets to print. We were able to select the colors of every piece, choose how many inserts we wanted, add a mat to the invitation and choose separate envelope colors for the actual invitation and the RSVP card.

Ring Logo

I knew I wanted more of an invitation suite, rather than an invitation and response card. I wanted people to get an idea of what our wedding was going to be like and the theme of things, I feel like that was portrayed very well (except we left out any notice of a tornado)! We also included a part of our logo at the top of the main invitation which we had throughout our wedding.

Directions

The directions insert has the outline of the northern and southern area of Maryland on it, and a dot for Baltimore (where I grew up) and Calvert County (where Dave grew up) then a heart where our wedding took place.

Rehearsal Dinner

We included a small insert for the rehearsal dinner with some of the invitations. This was an easy way to find out who would be able to make it, and if they wanted to bring a plus one.

Hopefully I will have some getting ready photos next week! I can’t wait to share :)

Your invitations are so nice! I love that you created them yourself. I designed a few of my own things and felt so accomplished and proud. Putting a rehearsal dinner invitation in there is such a great idea, I wish I would’ve though of it! It’s great to have your “theme” carried out through so many things :)

I love the coastal theme of your invitations. And definitely very smart thought process on the dinner cards. I wish I was crafty enough to design mine but I am not 😛

Thank you! The rehearsal cards were a bit of an after thought, but it was easier to put together and then print at Staples to include in the invitations.

so cute! I love the color scheme and how you incorporated all the elements without them looking over the top. Just today I finally got my invites out, and I designed them myself as well. I love them, but its just a great sigh of relief to have them out!

Thank you! We had to do several drafts before we achieved a balance between fun and exciting and nautical casual. It is so nice to have them out of your hands, and getting RSVP’s back is SO fun!
