Making Goals

Making goals is the best way for me to keep track of what I need to do daily, as well as long-term. I try to set goals that are motivating and practical, not just general because I most likely won’t work towards them if they are lame. Towards the beginning of the year I set a few goals for myself, while they were fairly easy to achieve, I made it happen. Now as more than half the year is over, I am going to update and add to those goals.

Old Goals

1- The first goal I remember was becoming a better skier. As some of you know I successfully made it out alive when I visited Colorado in March, so that takes care of number one.

I do want to continue to work on this goal throughout the upcoming winter and develop better skills to take on Colorado when we go back in 2017. I learned so much last winter and I enjoyed being able to go skiing so often, I fully plan on working for the same children’s camp this winter and hitting the slopes at least 6 times.

2- My second goal was to become healthier over all and work out more. Clean eating is always difficult for me because I really love food so much, especially wings and pizza but that won’t get me anywhere near where I want to be. I am overall more healthier than I was 7 months ago, and I am eating fairly clean, with the occasional night out and cheat day.

As Jamaica approaches I have a goal of how I want to look and how I want to feel. I do always wonder if I will be happy if I get to that goal, but I need to get there to figure it out. I will continue to start my day off right by working out, and encouraging Dave to do the same!

3- My third goal was to become an Event Planner. While this hasn’t fully happened I have made strides towards it and I am well on my way.

Once my full-time job duties slow down a little bit I will have more time to focus on this. I know exactly what I need to do, and I am more than willing to make it happen.

New Goals

1- Continue to focus on planning our wedding and try not to get incredibly stressed throughout the way (planning with someone else’s family, friends and money in mind is so much less stressful).

2- Get our house in order after Dave is all moved in. The move-in process is almost done, but we have a long ways to go to have our house ready. Anybody have a sofa they don’t need?

3-Continue to do PiYo and get in the best shape of my life. I am ready to be 100% happy with how I look and how I feel and there is no time like the present.

Oh my gosh, planning my wedding was a nightmare and I swear, I always say we should have eloped! The details involved were so much more than I anticipated…yikes!
