• Nursery Organization: Dresser & More!

How is a baby so tiny but there are so many things they need? At least things you think you need when you’re preparing to welcome a baby into your house. One thing that overwhelmed me was the organization of all the things. With so many clothes (thanks to some amazing friends hand-me-downs & our shower) I needed to figure out a way to store everything. We don’t have much storage space in our house so we needed to get a little creative. Let’s start with the dresser! We have the Hemnes dresser from IKEA and it’s perfect, especially with the SKUBB boxes. Drawer #1- I used the top left…

  • Nursery Reveal

While I have a feeling the nursery will be an ongoing project as we learn what Olivia likes, everything I wanted to have finished before her arrival has been completed! We still have some blank spaces to fill, but in time we will add those things to match her personality or to reflect things we find along the way. I am so happy with how everything turned out, from the wall color (props to Dave) to the wardrobe, I love it all! If you remember the inspiration I shared for the nursery, you will see some similarities. The wardrobe used to be mine, then all of my siblings used it as…

  • Bumpdate #5: 39 Weeks!

How far along: 39 weeks! Due Date: May 25th Baby is the size of: Watermelon Gender: Girl Name: Olivia Ronnie Symptoms: ALL. Swelling, no sleep, constant peeing, shortness of breath, overall discomfort. Movement: This little girl loves to move around, even in her tight quarters. It feels very weird when she moves now, just because she takes up so much of my stomach. Cravings/Aversions: Still nothing really although I have started to have a thing for brownie core Ben & Jerry’s, I think that’s just a normal thing though. There is nothing I absolutely HAVE to HAVE. Missing anything: BEER and champagne! Also, my normal clothes. Sleep: Not very much.…

  • My 101 in 1001 # 10 – May 2018

I am 3 days late to my own 101 in 1001, but better late than never when you’re 9+ months pregnant! I didn’t get much accomplished over the last 3 months because it turns out that growing a baby is hard work at times, but I’m still very excited to see the progress that has been made over the last 800+ days. The FINAL 101 in 1001 post will be in August and I can’t wait to see the progress others have made and also the changes to their lists now that we have been at it for over 2 years. I know about 25% of the things on my…

    Garden Baby Shower For Olivia

I’m not even sure how to explain the beautiful day that was our baby shower. I’m so incredibly thankful for all of the contributions, effort, thoughtfulness and love that went into every single detail. My mom and sister planned the perfect day and the weather couldn’t have been better. I constantly think back on some of my favorite memories- my bridal shower, bachelorette party, wedding, etc. and reminisce about being surrounded by so many friends and family and I’m so thankful. This day has absolutely joined those fond memories of our life. We have amazing people in our lives and I know the day we spent celebrating Olivia will always…

  • Why You Should Take Maternity Photos

I’m going to be 110% honest, before I got pregnant I had big plans for pregnancy. I wanted to document every single detail, take weekly photos if not more often than that, wear the cutest maternity clothes, feel great about what my body was doing, etc. etc. I had ALL THE Pinterest dreams. But let me tell you, they went out the window at 5.5 weeks when I couldn’t get my head out of the trashcan. Honestly, even if I wouldn’t have been sick at the beginning of my pregnancy, I don’t think I would have had the energy anyways. I’m really glad I documented the reaction of a lot…
