Show Us Your Books Volume 2

This was not a very big reading month for me, but I am hoping that this month will be better since we will be on a week long vacation. I have a few books on hold and can’t wait to get them, and I am also looking for more biographies (still). I’m planning on giving Stephen King a go next month as well, thanks for Alex’s recommendations. I’m linking up a day early for Show Us Your Books and I can’t wait to see what everyone else has read!   Promises To Keep By Jane Green 2 out of 5 This book was really hard to get through. Almost every…

  • Books I Have Been Reading

It’s been a long time since I did a book check-in, quite honestly because I just haven’t been reading. A few weeks ago I jumped back on the reading train, so I’m excited to share some thoughts. I realized that I am now 6 books behind my reading goal of 50 books in 2016, so I hope to keep this up. I have been on a non-fiction kick and I’m loving it! If you have any recommendations, please let me know.   Room: 3 out of 5 I went through this book pretty quickly because it wasn’t much to focus on. While the book was deep and the storyline…

  • What I’ve Read: Summer 2015

Before I get into todays post….THANK YOU ALL for so much love from Friday’s post. I am excited for what is coming to this space, and I can’t wait to be more intentional and informative throughout. All while making such amazing friends! Something about this summer has had me on a reading kick. I know 8 books in 3 months isn’t really a huge deal because some of you can power through 8 books in a week, but with launching a business, getting married and everything in between I am pretty proud of these 8 books. I have a long list of books that I want to read this fall,…

  • CollaboReads: We Were Liars

It’s my first time taking part in #CollaboReads, and I can’t wait to continue joining in the fun every month. I go through phases of reading, and this summer I have been all about it (check back next week for more reviews). This months theme is “a book set in the summertime”. I originally planned on reading  The Last Summer because I heard it is a great book, and I also loved The Sisterhood books. As I was waiting for the book to arrive, I downloaded We Were Liars to have in the meantime. As I started reading, I realized it was all set in the summer, so it could…

  • Between The Lines: Where’d You Go Bernadette

*EDIT- I thought I scheduled this to go live on Tuesday, but it didn’t- so yes, I know I am a few days late to this party 😉 * I am really excited to be joining in on the Between The Lines fun this month. The book for May was Where’d You Go, Bernadette, and I can’t say that I loved it. I might be the only person in the world that feels this way, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. Although, I did enjoy several cups of tea while I read it. At first it took me a very long time to get into it, at a…
