A Delightful Evening In Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik, Croatia was our only all day stop on our cruise, we were there from 8am until 12am and this was the perfect place to be for that amount of time. After we had an amazing start to the day walking the walls, we came back to enjoy the city in the evening. Once we got back, it kind of had the feel of a boardwalk, but obviously more European. We were looking for wifi and stumbled upon a cute waterfront cafe in a marina. We had some drinks to connect with our family over FaceTime, then we were off again. We walked around the souvenir shops, through the alleyways,…

A Delightful European Afternoon In Dubrovnik, Croatia

It’s finally time!!! I have been waiting for this post for what feels like an eternity, but I wanted to save the best stop on our cruise for last. Dubrovnik, Croatia absolutely stole my heart, and I can’t wait to return. I had a feeling I would fall in love, just by the photos, and then when I arrived it was magical. Dubrovnik is like a few of the cities we toured, but only because it is considered a walled city. Besides this, is was exactly what I wanted and more.   This was another beautiful sail in! I love seeing places from such a different point of view. The…

A Walking Tour of Trogir, Croatia

Last week, I talked about how we spent our first day around Split, Croatia. Today, I wanted to share how we ended the day after exploring Krka Falls. Our tour guide was from a small town in Croatia, one that happened to be on our ride home from the falls…so of corse we wanted to stop and hear about his town! I had heard about Trogir, Croatia in my research prior to our honeymoon, but I hadn’t looked into it very much because I knew we would have a busy day once we arrived in Split. I’m really happy we were able to stop, and explore the area. There is…

    Split, Croatia: Krka Falls

Our stop in Split, Croatia was one of the few that I had several plans for. There were so many things that I wanted to do, and it was pretty difficult deciding. I read that the city itself was unique and beautiful, but there were several other towns surrounding Split. Less than an hour away was also a beautiful UNESCO waterfall, Krka. Dave really left things to me (as he always does) when it comes to planning, so even though I told him about all of the options, he said anything was fine with him. I decided to book transportation and a tour to the waterfalls. I had met another…

  • Swimming And Biking in Korcula, Croatia

If you want to see a very small european town in Korcula, Croatia is the place to go. Before we arrived, we were told that you could walk the entire city in under 5 minutes, we thought this could be an exaggeration…it wasn’t. But a smaller city, does not mean anything when it comes to charm and character. This was the only stop that we needed to be “tendered” into the town, which meant our ship anchored out at sea, and we took these tiny orange boats into the dock. It was nice to have a quick ride with some new people, we were able to meet some others we…
