    {From Here To There} Waco, Texas

    Oh, Wacotown. The place I have been dying to visit for at least 2 years now…totally thanks to Chip & Jojo. While Dave said he would have went, I figured it was the perfect trip to take with one of my best friends. I don’t think any guy would have enjoyed going to Magnolia Market a few times…let alone the 6 times Gina and I did over our 36 hours in the area. We landed on Friday night, got in our rental car and made the 1.5 hour drive down to Waco from Dallas. It was a quick and easy drive, though a bit scary because the highway went through…

  • From Here to There {Brooklyn, New York}

    I’m back for another installment of from Here to There! It’s been about a month since I last posted, but I have fully been enjoying NOT traveling for an entire 30 days! As I have mentioned, June was nonstop. I was gone for all but 7 days of the month, and it took a bit to get things back together at home, only to be off again. So as I enjoy my month off, I will reflect on what was a few day stint in Brooklyn, NY. I have been to Brooklyn before and I can’t say I loved it, so I wasn’t totally thrilled to be going back for…

    From Here To There {San Antonio}

    I. Love. Texas. I love Texas so much I really want to move there one day, so of course when I had another to chance to visit that lovely state, I jumped on it. I love being in such an awesome environment with great food, unique atmosphere, cool people, and a laid back kind of lifestyle. One day I will be living there, but for now I will stick with visiting whenever I can. In June, there was a conference in San Antonio and of course I wanted to go! I have visited San Antonio once before, and silly me thought it would be lame and only left myself an…

  • New York

    From Here To There {New York, New York}

    The last 4 weeks have been a traveling whirlwind for me! It started in New York city and ended in Ocean City with my family. In between I traveled to San Antonio, Vegas and New York a second time. I am excited to finally be able to spend some time recapping some of my adventures! The first trip to New York was June 4-5 for a conference around Battery Park. I love this area of New York because it’s less congested than upper Manhattan and there is a lot to see. You can look across the river to Brooklyn, take a walk around Battery Gardens, tour the financial district, and…

  • How To Sit On An Airplane

    I feel like every time I board a plane my biggest fear isn’t the plane crashing or falling, but it’s the person I will be sitting next to. Anyone with me?! This morning was an early one, and I was hoping for a good neighbor that was hopefully smaller, with no carry-on baggage and a travel pillow so they weren’t bumping into my shoulders. Is that too much to ask for? yes. I know it is, but I was hopeful. Luckily, I met a guy in the security line that was kind enough to save me a window seat, but since he took the aisle we were going to get…
