The Best Water Bottle To Use In Disney World Parks
I’ve mentioned it many times before, packing appropriately for your Disney trip, and especially for while you are in Disney parks, is very important. It’s a pain to overpack and bring a bunch of stuff you don’t need but you also don’t want to be caught without something you wish you had- or even worse, feel like you have to buy something at a premium in the park. Unless that is what you want to do- then I am all for souvenirs! As Annual Passholders in Walt Disney World, we have gone through our fair share of water bottles, so I’m excited to lay it all out and share what I think is the best water bottle to take to Disney.
Hi there! Just a heads up- if you click on a link within this post I may receive a small commission from affiliate links. I appreciate your support of To Travel & Beyond and hope to bring you great recommendations for many years to come!
When packing for a trip to Disney, having a good water bottle is essential to keep you and your family hydrated during a long day of walking, waiting in lines, and enjoying attractions. With high temperatures and hours of outdoor activities, a quality water bottle can save you money, keep your drinks cold, and reduce waste from single-use plastics. Here’s what to consider when choosing a water bottle for Disney and top-rated options for both kids and adults:
What to Consider When Packing a Water Bottle for Disney
- Size & Weight: Opt for a lightweight, portable bottle that won’t weigh you down. Larger bottles are great for fewer refills, but make sure they aren’t too bulky to carry around comfortably.
- Insulation: Disney can be hot, especially in the summer months. Insulated bottles keep your water cold for hours, which can be a lifesaver on a hot day. Look for double-wall vacuum insulation to beat the Florida heat as much as possible.
- Spill-Proof Design: Whether you’re tossing it in your bag, using a stroller cup holder, or giving it to your kids, a spill-proof design is a must to avoid messes. I often see people carrying around their Stanely cups and that just isn’t the name of my game.
- Ease of Use: Choose bottles that are easy to open, sip from, and refill. You’ll want something you can quickly access without fumbling.
- Refill Stations: Disney has water refill stations, water fountains and more so it’s a good idea to bring a bottle that’s easy to fill. A wide mouth makes this easier. And there are SO MANY PLACES to get free water while in the parks. If you are heading to Epcot or Magic Kingdom, I got your back when it comes to where to find it! (Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios coming soon!)
- Durability: Since you’ll be carrying it around and potentially tossing it in a backpack, durability is key. Go for bottles made from stainless steel or BPA-free plastic.
FYI- one thing I will not do is spend $5 on a bottle of water in the parks. Avoid those charges (which add up quick!) and check out these posts about saving money from using your own reusable water bottle and sipping on free Disney water all day long. Between grabbing a free cup of ice water each time you pass quick-service restaurants to knowing where the water bottle refill stations are, I have you covered.
Now, let’s share the details about my favorite water bottles for a nice, long (but fun!) day in the Walt Disney World resort theme parks.
