Custom Home Renovation Paint Colors Goes Modern Coastal
Deciding on paint colors is one of a million choices to be made when doing a custom home renovation. The day our painter arrived I went back to Lowes at 6am to look at additional samples. I ended up switching the main living room color to a creamier white instead of the blueish white, and I went a little darker with the shade of grey for other areas of the house. My indecisiveness paid off because I love how everything turned out!
We wanted a few different colors but wanted to stick with neutrals for the areas we are in the most- living/kitchen/dining, office, master bedroom and hallways.

I’ve also received a few questions about some of the smaller details we decided on for our coastal renovation, so I’m sharing all of those details as well!
Kitchen cabinet handles: Modern Gold handles from Home Depot (we also used these in the primary bathroom but in black!)
Kitchen Island Lanterns: I bought these “Vintage Gold” pendants and lightly spray painted them a lighter champagne gold to match the handles.
Kitchen Faucet: We loved a few of the gold options we found, but we ended up going with this one which was cost effective and beautiful!
