Orlando Hotel: Drury Disney Springs – Shuttle, Pool & More
We have had the pleasure of staying at the Drury Disney Springs (the Drury Plaza Hotel) which is steps away from Disney Springs, on multiple occasions. It’s always been a great experience! From the convenient location to the excellent amenities (like a shuttle to the parks!), this hotel exceeded my family’s expectations in nearly every way.
If you have never stayed in a Drury hotel, this is a great first option! As an official Walt Disney World resort with “good neighbor” perks, you will receive specific perks if visiting the Disney parks!
Hi there! Just a heads up- if you click on a link within this post I may receive a small commission. I appreciate your support of To Travel & Beyond and hope to bring you great recommendations for many years to come!
The Drury brand of hotels focuses on the fact that “happiness is free,” – so they believe in including amenities and experiences with every stay. While some inclusions depend on the specific location, you can always expect a well-equipped fitness center, a beautiful pool, free wi-fi, and a free hot breakfast. The brand is also known for renovating historic buildings to transform them into beautiful hotels. While you won’t experience this at the Disney Springs location, I highly recommend checking out Drury hotels in other cities like St. Louis or Nashville.
If you plan to visit Universal Studios, I recommend checking out the Drury Inn & Suites near Universal Orlando rather than the Disney Springs location.
Let’s get into the Drury Plaza Disney Springs perks:
Location.
First and foremost, the location of the Drury Plaza is incredible. It’s just a 15-minute walk to Disney Springs, which made it easy for us to venture out and explore the area without having to worry about transportation. The proximity to Disney Springs meant that we were able to enjoy the shopping, dining, and entertainment options without any hassle. It really is the perfect location if you plan to frequent Disney Springs (we usually do!)
Rooms.
The rooms at the Drury Plaza Disney Springs were spacious and well-appointed with in-room amenities. We opted for a standard king room, and it was large enough to comfortably accommodate our family during our stay. The addition of a small kitchenette was a pleasant surprise and added a lot of convenience to our Drury room. Other room type options available: king room with an outdoor terrace, queen rooms with or without a terrace, queen room with a sleeper sofa, 2 bedroom suites with and without a view, and oversized suites with even more space and a full living area.
Cost.
One of the most impressive aspects of our stay was the affordability of the Drury Plaza. The reasonable pricing, coupled with various deals like the Florida resident discount (with valid Florida ID), Annual Passholder discount, and extended stay guest perks, made it an even more attractive option. The absence of a resort fee was also a welcome change, and the complimentary perks (more on this below!), made our stay even more enjoyable. Very reasonable for everything you get!
Vibes & Views.
The hotel’s vibes were perfectly in line with the Florida atmosphere, with minimal decor and a lovely view of the lake. Depending on your room location, you will either have a view of the surrounding area or the beautiful lake and Disney Springs. This is a mid-size hotel with very subtle decor nods. One building means you can get wherever you’re going within the resort, and you don’t need to leave, which is nice compared to other large resorts in the area.
Amenities & Perks at the Drury Disney Springs.
The best-in-class amenities at Drury Disney Springs are seemingly endless. The amenities, including the saltwater pool, hot tub, and splash pad, provided great relaxation options after a long day of exploring Disney attractions. The 24/7 coffee in the lobby was a highlight for us, and the variety of dining options, including on-site restaurants, a poolside bar, and a market place snack bar with Pizza Hut express pizza and Starbucks coffee, catered to all our needs.
The highlight to make the Drury a great option for families traveling to the area is the additional freebies you receive. I already mentioned the free hot breakfast, which includes Mickey Waffles, fresh fruit and rotating options, but they also have a free “kick-back” every night, including food, soft drinks, and three alcoholic beverages per adult for around 2 hours. The “kick-back” is considered to offer “hot dinnertime snacks” but we have always felt that it’s enough for a full meal. They also provide evening snacks like popcorn in the dining area.
You gain access to all perks and amenities starting on your arrival date!
Transportation.
Complimentary shuttle service is provided for all guests. This includes a furry shuttle to all the parks, including Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, which adds to the overall convenience of our stay.
To get to Drury Plaza, you can either drive (there is a nightly parking fee), Uber or use a taxi service from the airport or reserve transportation. Prior to living in Florida, we often used Mears Connect; however, it does not currently offer direct service to Drury Disney Springs. Be sure to look into a service that will get you from the airport doors to your resort doors!
Walt Disney World Perks.
Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs is an official Walt Disney World hotel, which means you get extra perks specific to Disney theme parks! This includes 30-minute early entry to every park, every morning, connecting your reservation to the My Disney Experience app, and early dining & experience reservations. You also have access to expert advice about Disney world at the front desk or Disney planning center within the hotel.

Remote Friendly Details
There is plenty of room to work or lounge in the lobby, space outside by the pool and pool bar, multiple elevators so you aren’t waiting a long time to get around. I have settled in both our rooms at the table with chairs, and also in the lobby.
In conclusion, the Drury Disney Springs exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel’s convenience, affordability, free shuttle service, and array of amenities made our stays truly memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Drury Inn and will definitely be returning in the future- especially with the Florida residents discount! If you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay near Disney Springs, I highly recommend considering the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista.
