Rides and Attractions in Epcot | Complete Guide 2025

Are you heading to Walt Disney World and you are wondering how many rides are at Epcot? Or are the rides and attractions in Epcot worth a visit? I am excited to tell you about every attraction within the park and give you my opinion on who should ride or see each experience.

How many rides and attractions are in Epcot? There are 11 rides and multiple attractions throughout the park. The total number of regular experiences (like shows) is eight official attraction experiences, with at least four additional pop-ups around the park. 

Epcot offers plenty to do for children, adults, families and all travel groups. Something I love about the park is the number of slow-moving ride options, walking through different countries, special events and even the unique experience options. 

Let’s dive into the rides and experiences waiting for you in Epcot! 

This list is in order of appearance, starting at the front of Epcot and not the International Gateway side entrance. Then going through Mexico first (as many do, though I may or may not be team Canada first). 

Rides and Attractions in Epcot

Spaceship Earth

Spaceship Earth is Epcot’s iconic geodesic sphere (aka “the EPCOT ball” or “the giant golf ball”) and an attraction that takes you on a thoughtful journey through the history of human communication. Inside the structure, you’ll travel through eras that showcase the evolution of storytelling, language, and technology, from prehistoric times to the dawn of the digital age. The ride offers fascinating insights wrapped in an engaging, smooth-moving dark ride experience.

One of the reasons Spaceship Earth remains a crowd favorite is its perfect balance of education and gentle fun. Narration guides you through the different time periods, and the attraction encourages reflection on how far humanity has come. It’s a slower-paced ride, so it’s ideal if you want to relax while still feeling connected to the park’s overarching theme of innovation and progress. It also often gets stuck for a few minutes, so don’t worry if it happens while you are on it. 

If this topic seems a bit heavy at first, don’t worry – Spaceship Earth presents it in a way that’s both inspiring and enjoyable. It’s a piece of Epcot’s soul, offering a moment of quiet awe amid the park’s lively atmosphere.

This is a great ride for anyone interested in history and riding an iconic Walt Disney World ride, though I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone who doesn’t enjoy dark rides. There is a point where you are facing backwards, though not scary, it can be slightly jarring. 

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a thrill ride with one of the longest enclosed roller coasters in the world. This high-energy attraction combines storytelling, special effects, and high-speed twists as you join the Guardians on a mission to save the galaxy. It’s a unique blend of a storytelling coaster and a spin ride, delivering excitement with a dose of humor from the beloved characters.

This ride stands apart for its ambitious design and technical sophistication, offering a fresh take on the coaster experience that complements Epcot’s futuristic vibe. 

It’s fast, loud (but in a good way with a variety of different songs), and visually spectacular, drawing in thrill-seekers and fans of the Marvel universe alike. The story-driven aspect creates a sense of immersion rare in traditional roller coasters.

If you’re ready for an adrenaline-pumping ride with a storyline that keeps you interested, Cosmic Rewind is a must-visit. It’s one of Epcot’s newer gems, combining thrills with storytelling in a way that’s both impressive and entertaining.

This is hands down my favorite ride ever, and we have visited a lot of theme parks! I love rides that are fast and exciting rather than major hills and steep drops, and this is PERFECT. The mix of music and the length of the ride overall is ideal. I highly recommend it. 

If you don’t know if you can make it 30 minutes before rope drop to arrive early for Early Entry, I suggest booking a Lightning Lane for this ride. It’s one of the most popular rides in the park and can get busy quick. Check out my complete guide to Lightning Lanes at Epcot. 

If you are prone to motion sickness, I suggest trying to get the front row. 

Pro-tip: If you are a fan of innovative rollercoasters and plan to spend a day in Magic Kingdom, Tron is another great ride experience, but I strongly suggest riding it before you ride Guardians because the ride remains unmatched! They are two of the best rides in Disney World, but Tron is incredibly quick compared to Guardians. 

Mission: SPACE

Mission: SPACE propels you into an outer space training simulation, designed to mimic what astronauts experience during a journey to Mars. Guests choose between two levels of intensity: a more intense “Orange Team” ride that simulates strong G-forces and a gentler “Green Team” option that’s suitable for those who prefer a milder experience. Either way, the immersive storytelling and high-tech visuals offer a thrilling sense of space adventure.

Beyond the ride movements itself, Mission: SPACE offers a unique blend of education and entertainment. You learn about space exploration and teamwork, making it feel like you’re part of a mission crew working toward a historic goal. It’s a ride that challenges your nerves and your curiosity, especially if you are interested in space. 

If the thought of simulated space flight feels a little daunting, know that the Green Team option provides a great way to participate without the intense physical sensations. It’s a fun choice whether you’re a space enthusiast or just up for a new kind of amusement park excitement. 

I do want to mention that I skip this ride altogether. As someone who is claustrophobic and can get somewhat motion sick, even the green experience is a bit much for me. 

Test Track Presented by Chevrolet (currently closed for refurbishment – set to reopen late summer 2025) 

Test Track puts you in the driver’s seat of an exhilarating vehicle-testing adventure. After designing your own virtual car, you buckle up for a high-speed ride where your vehicle is put through its paces – accelerating, braking, and maneuvering through challenging terrain. It’s an interactive and adrenaline-fueled experience that offers a taste of real automotive engineering combined with Disney’s signature storytelling.

One of the standout aspects of Test Track is how it cleverly mixes education with excitement. As you race through the test course, you’re also learning about vehicle design and performance in a way that feels more like play than school. It’s especially appealing if you enjoy tech, cars, or simply a faster-paced ride experience.

The ride’s blend of innovation, interactivity, and speed makes it a cornerstone of Epcot’s Future World area. If you want a shot of adrenaline coupled with a bit of creative fun, Test Track is a solid pick and often a go-to ride to kick start a day in the park.

Keep in mind, this is an explanation about the previous Test Track experience. It’s been closed for nearly a year as it’s a major refurbishment, so the new experience could be drastically different. 

Encanto Sing-Along

Step into the world of the Madrigal family with the Encanto Sing-Along, a lively and heartwarming show that invites guests to belt out some of the movie’s most beloved songs. You will find this show in the center of the action between Spaceship Earth and the entry to the World Showcase, or in between your walk from the Connections area of The Land, in the World Celebration section. 

This experience combines vibrant visuals, favorite characters, and on-screen lyrics to encourage full audience participation.

This is a great stop for families and fans of the film who just can’t stop singing “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” While it’s not an elaborate stage show, the charm lies in its simplicity and the joy Encanto brings to families through music. It’s a great spot for a snack, a fun chance to rest your feet, and a reminder of how much fun it is to sing along. 

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana

Journey of Water is a self-guided, interactive outdoor trail that celebrates the natural water cycle, inspired by the spirit of Moana. Located in World Nature, this lush, walk-through attraction invites guests to play with water in a beautifully designed setting, blending science and storytelling with a little bit of magic.

It’s more of an experience than a ride, but that’s part of what makes it special. Whether you want to get wet or just admire the dancing fountains and waterfalls, you’ll come away with a deeper appreciation for nature – and Moana fans will love spotting character-inspired details. 

It’s great for all ages and especially refreshing on a hot Florida day.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends

The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a charming undersea adventure themed around Pixar’s Finding Nemo. You board a “clamobile” for a whimsical ride through colorful coral reefs and marine habitats, where beloved characters like Nemo, Dory, and Marlin appear amid playful aquatic scenery. The ride’s bright, friendly visuals make it especially popular with families and younger visitors.

What makes this ride even more special is its seamless connection to The Seas pavilion’s enormous aquarium. After the ride, guests can explore real sea life in some of the largest saltwater tanks at any theme park, including dolphins, turtles, and myriad fish species. This blend of animation and live animals offers a unique, inclusive experience that appeals to all ages.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a celebration of ocean life, friendship, and exploration. It’s not just entertaining – it sparks a deeper appreciation for the wonders beneath the waves, and it encourages a gentle curiosity about marine conservation.

As mentioned, the ride drops you off in the aquarium, which is a really fun experience and has a small play area as well! 

Turtle Talk with Crush

Turtle Talk with Crush is an interactive show where guests engage in real-time conversations with Crush, the laid-back sea turtle from Finding Nemo. Using innovative technology, Crush appears on a large screen and reacts live to audience questions and comments, making each session unique and full of surprises. It’s a joyful, exciting experience that brings families with young kids together through humor and charm.

The show usually makes everyone laugh- especially the adults! 

This attraction is special because of its interactive nature and Crush’s easygoing personality. Kids and adults alike find excitement in chatting with the turtle, who shares insights about ocean creatures and conservation. The show encourages curiosity, questions, and laughter, making it more than just a passive viewing experience.

If you’re looking for an engaging, lighthearted break that connects you with Disney characters and the ocean world, Turtle Talk with Crush offers a refreshing and fun encounter.

Awesome Planet (theatre experience)

Awesome Planet is not a traditional ride but rather a spectacular film experience showcasing the beauty and power of Earth. Narrated with warmth and environmental insight, the film uses 4K visuals and special effects that immerse viewers in the wonders of nature – from dramatic landscapes to delicate ecosystems. This is a visually stunning attraction that highlights the importance of planetary stewardship. 

Located in The Land pavilion on the top floor, Awesome Planet complements the other educational attractions by inspiring awe and respect for our natural world. It’s a calming yet motivating film that encourages guests to appreciate and protect Earth’s diverse environments. The presentation combines artistry, science, and a hopeful message for the future. 

If you enjoy documentaries or want a peaceful break (where there is great AC!) with a meaningful takeaway, Awesome Planet is a rewarding experience. Its visuals and narration together create a memorable tribute to the planet we all share.

We really enjoy this show and often stop by to see it- especially in the summer! 

Living with the Land

Living with the Land is a gentle boat ride through greenhouses and agricultural scenes that highlight sustainable farming and cutting-edge horticulture. It’s a peaceful way to discover how humans can work with nature to produce food innovatively and responsibly. You’ll see everything from traditional crops to experimental ecosystems, making it a surprisingly rich educational journey.

This attraction’s charm lies in its calm pace and eye-opening experiments. While the visuals are refreshing – lush plants, colorful fruits, and bubbling water setups – the real joy comes from the informative messages about conservation and stewardship. It’s a reminder that caring for the planet is both necessary and achievable if we work thoughtfully.

Whether you’re a gardening enthusiast or someone simply curious about where your food comes from, Living with the Land offers a relaxing, hopeful experience. It’s a softer side of Epcot’s commitment to the future, wrapped in natural beauty and genuine inspiration.

We LOVE this boat ride, especially during the Festival of the Holidays when it’s glimmering with twinkle lights in the evening. 

We previously did the “Behind The Seeds” tour, which is a walkthrough experience in the backstage of the gardens, and it was an incredible experience. So if you are ever on the ride and notice guests among the plants, they are likely on this tour!

Soarin’ Around the World

Soarin’ Around the World is a swooping, cinematic ride that simulates hang-gliding over some of Earth’s most breathtaking landscapes and landmarks. You’re gently lifted into the air, and with the help of a massive, curved screen and a state-of-the-art motion system, it feels like you’re truly soaring above mountains, oceans, and cities. 

The sense of flight is both thrilling and surprisingly peaceful, making it a favorite for many park-goers.

This attraction is well-loved for its stunning visuals and immersive sensory details, including scents that match the scenes – think fresh pine forests or ocean breeze – to deepen the experience. It’s one of those rides that creates memories through sheer sensory delight rather than adrenaline, offering a relaxing yet inspiring ride that you can enjoy multiple times without feeling worn out.

If you’ve got a curious spirit or a love for travel, Soarin’ Around the World serves up a global adventure in just a few minutes. It’s a reminder of the vast, beautiful planet we share and is a fantastic way to bring a little wonder and calm into your Epcot day.

It’s on my bucket list to see every place within the film you watch while riding! 

Journey Into Imagination with Figment

Another classic for lifelong Epcot fans. Journey Into Imagination with Figment is a playful, colorful ride that invites you to explore creativity through the eyes of Figment, a mischievous purple dragon who loves to imagine and innovate. 

The ride leads through whimsical scenes that represent the five senses and the power of imagination in making the world a more vibrant place. It’s lighthearted and fun, full of quirky moments that will bring a smile.

This attraction stands out because it celebrates the creative spark everyone carries inside – the kind that leads to new ideas, inventions, and art. Figment himself is a lovable character who acts as a guide and mascot for embracing curiosity and playful thinking. The ride experience is both uplifting and inspiring, reminding visitors that imagination is a vital part of human experience.

If you appreciate a dose of light-hearted fun with a meaningful message, Journey Into Imagination delivers that with charm and whimsy. It’s a delightful pick-me-up during a day filled with more intense rides or kid-cot stations. 

It’s also a fun experience to hang out in the immersive labs after the ride. 

Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival

The Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival is a cozy, 4D theater experience that showcases a rotating selection of award-winning animated shorts from the Disney and Pixar archives. Housed inside the Imagination! Pavilion, this attraction is a great way to sit down, cool off, and enjoy some bite-sized storytelling magic.

Each short is presented in 3D with added sensory effects like bursts of air or gentle seat movement, making the experience more immersive than just a typical movie. While the films change occasionally, they’re always heartwarming, funny, and visually impressive – especially for animation lovers.

This is a great stop for families or anyone who appreciates animation as an art form. There’s no need to rush to it, but if you’re in the area and need a break from the hustle of the park, it’s a charming and underrated gem. Plus, you’ll almost always find a seat, even during busier times.

Canada Far and Wide

Set inside the Canada Pavilion’s circle-vision 360° theater, Canada Far and Wide is a cinematic love letter to the country’s vast beauty and vibrant culture.

 Narrated by beloved Canadian actors Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy, this show sweeps you through snow-capped peaks, bustling cities, and serene lakes.

The circular format is impressive – just remember there are no seats, so you’ll be standing throughout the show. Still, the visuals and narration make it a worthwhile stop if you’re exploring the World Showcase and want to be momentarily transported to another part of the globe.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure shrinks you down to the size of a mouse for a 4D experience based on the movie, Ratatouille. This trackless dark ride follows Remy as he scampers through a bustling Parisian kitchen and restaurant, encountering captivating sights, sounds, and smells. 

The ride combines detailed animatronics, fun surprises, and an immersive environment that makes you feel like you’re part of the adventure.

One of the ride’s strengths is its innovative motion system, which allows for fluid, unpredictable movement that mimics a tiny creature’s quick pace. It’s a family-friendly ride, with just enough excitement and sensory stimulation to engage everyone without overwhelming younger riders. Plus, it captures the spirit of Disney storytelling with humor and heart.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to see the world from a mouse’s perspective, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure offers an unforgettable narrative journey full of delight and charm.

My daughter felt a bit overwhelmed by this ride until she was around 4, but it was better when she didn’t have the 4D glasses on! 

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along is a charming mini-show where guests join in singing classic songs from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Featuring beloved characters and clips from the animated film, this attraction invites audiences to tap into their inner vocalist and relive the timeless tale of love, courage, and friendship. The sing-along’s warm and inviting atmosphere suits visitors of all ages.

This experience blends nostalgia with community, as everyone shares in the musical magic together. It offers a break from the high-energy rides while still engaging guests through song and story. The familiar tunes and uplifting message make it a feel-good moment within Epcot’s World Showcase.

Impressions de France

Impressions de France is a beautifully composed film that transports viewers through the French countryside, cities, and coastline, all set to a soaring classical score by French composers. Shown in a traditional theater in the France Pavilion, this film feels like a timeless escape into elegance and old-world charm.

While the visuals are a bit dated compared to newer offerings, it holds up due to its emotional resonance and graceful pacing. It’s a great option for adults or anyone looking to slow down and appreciate France’s artistry and landscape. 

Pro Tip: The theater alternates between this film and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, so check the schedule!

The American Adventure 

A grand stage show tucked inside the regal American pavilion, The American Adventure is one of Epcot’s most impressive storytelling experiences. Through lifelike audio-animatronics, stirring music, and sweeping visuals, this show highlights key moments in American history, narrated by none other than Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain.

It’s educational and emotional, with a strong patriotic tone. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking to cool off indoors, it’s an impressive display of Disney Imagineering. Plus, it’s one of the few attractions in the World Showcase with theater seating and air conditioning – a nice mid-day break.

Concerts at the America Gardens Theatre

Located right in front of the American Adventure pavilion, this outdoor amphitheater regularly hosts live music as part of Epcot’s rotating seasonal festivals-like Garden Rocks, Eat to the Beat, and Candlelight Processional. From rock legends to local talent, performances here are high-energy and free with park admission (though reserved seating is available with dining packages). It’s a must-do if you catch a band you love.

We have watched bands from Sugar Ray to Yellowcard, Simple Plan to Boys II Men, and more. The lineup throughout the year is amazing! 

Reflections of China

This 360-degree film in the China Pavilion offers a panoramic journey through the country’s dramatic landscapes and rich culture. From the Great Wall to the bustling streets of Shanghai, Reflections of China gives viewers a glimpse into both ancient traditions and modern life.

Like Canada Far and Wide, the film is standing-room only, so expect to be on your feet. It’s visually stunning, especially for those who appreciate scenic views and world cultures. Though the film is older, it still holds a certain meditative beauty, reminding guests of the vastness and diversity of the world.

Frozen Ever After

Frozen Ever After is one of Epcot’s most beloved attractions, especially for fans of the hit movie Frozen. This boat ride takes you on a magical journey through the Kingdom of Arendelle, featuring charming animatronic versions of Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and other favorite characters. The ride is beautifully crafted with detailed scenes and catchy music that has guests singing along as they sail through snowy landscapes and sparkling ice castles.

What makes Frozen Ever After stand out is its ability to immerse visitors in a storybook atmosphere filled with warmth and magic. The experience cleverly blends technology with artistry, ensuring every twist and turn brings a fresh surprise. Plus, it’s a gentle ride suitable for nearly all ages, making it perfect if you’re visiting with kids or just want a charming escape from the park’s hustle and bustle.

If you’re someone who’s ever wished to visit Arendelle or can’t get enough of Elsa’s iconic songs, this ride is a must-do. Even if you’re not a hardcore Frozen fan, the ride’s joyful vibe and impressive visuals create a captivating experience that’s hard to forget.

The queue theming fits the storyline, we always sing along to Let It GO, and the mild drop is a fun height for the whole family. If you were a fan of the Malestrom, I understand your pain, though it’s still worth a ride in my opinion! 

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros offers a delightful boat ride through the colorful sights and sounds of Mexico’s varied culture, featuring Donald Duck alongside Amigos Panchito and José Carioca. The attraction blends classic Disney characters with lively music and vibrant scenes depicting Mexico’s art, festivals, and landscapes. It’s a cheerful and culturally enriching experience.

This ride’s charm is in its festive ambiance and cute storytelling. The visuals are bright and engaging, making it a great way to enjoy a bit of Mexican culture without leaving the magic of Disney. It’s calm and easy-going, providing a perfect rest between more intense rides or as a family-friendly break in the AC.

For those looking to soak in some cultural flair while enjoying recognizable characters, Gran Fiesta Tour is a fantastic choice. It’s inviting, fun, and leaves you with a warm feeling of celebration and friendship.

The glimpse of San Angel Inn restaurant is a fun surprise, and it’s a delicious table service dining option in Disney as well!

Gallery of Arts and History (Morocco Pavilion)

Tucked behind the Morocco Pavilion’s stunning tilework and winding alleys, the gallery is a quiet cultural gem. Exhibits rotate but often focus on traditional Moroccan art, music, fashion, and architecture. It’s a small space, but thoughtfully curated, making it a lovely pause between attractions – and a hidden oasis for curious minds.

Musical Performances in Japan

At the Japan Pavilion, you might stumble upon Matsuriza, a traditional Taiko drumming group whose powerful rhythms echo through the courtyard. These performances are both energetic and deeply rooted in cultural tradition. It’s not just music – it’s an experience you feel in your chest. Check the daily schedule to catch a set.

Street Performers in Italy

The Italy Pavilion comes alive with impromptu performances from comedic jugglers or lively musical acts, often drawing a crowd near the fountain or plaza. These shows are brief, unscheduled gems that add spontaneity and charm to your stroll around the World Showcase. They’re especially fun for kids and a great way to take a break without stepping into a show or ride.

Pro-Tip: There are festivals in Epcot throughout nearly the entire year. Be sure to check the festival schedule to see what else could be there during your vacation. 

Now that you have an idea about all of the EPCOT attractions and rides, you can determine if the park should be added to your Walt Disney World itinerary, and also if purchasing Lightning Lanes would be worth it to avoid long lines.
