Where To Stay In Seattle, The Belltown Inn
I’ve mentioned before that I love staying in hotels rather than other types of accommodations. So when it comes to trip planning, I really look into where to stay and the amenities offered from various hotels. Then I check into each hotel in those areas and make my decision based off of reviews and photos. Well I couldn’t have booked a better hotel for our time in Seattle. The Belltown Inn was exactly what we like in a hotel.
The location was in Belltown (hence the name) which is right in the middle of everything. We could walk to the Space Needle and the attractions in that area, and in the other direction we could be at Pike Place Market in just a few minutes. Having the option of each area was really nice. There were also a large amount of restaurants nearby for whatever we were in the mood for. I knew we would want to see a lot of Seattle, and Belltown was the perfect place to start.
The hotel itself was in great condition, and I loved the outside. It resembled an older hotel- but in a good way. The muted pastel colors and vintage look was very welcoming, and continued throughout the inside of the Belltown Inn. The lobby had water, brochures and helpful staff to welcome you. There was also a media area with computers if you needed to look something else; however, wifi was free throughout.
The center of the Belltown Inn was an open courtyard, which is where the complimentary bikes were parked. Thats right- complimentary bikes to roam Seattle. This was one of the big sellers for me when booking a hotel. We love bike riding, especially in new cities. They will also supply helmets, saddle bags and locks- seriously, this hotel was perfect. Another thing we really love is when hotels have rooftop decks…and The Belltown Inn did! It was a nice view of the city, as well as the Space Needle. Thankfully we were there on a beautiful, mostly sunny weekend, we we enjoyed some time on the deck.
Our room was a good size and overlooked the courtyard, I was nervous about this at first because I thought it would be loud in the evening. It ended up being perfectly fine and people were courteous of the other guests at the hotel. The Belltown Inn is also an extended stay hotel, so there was a kitchenette. We find this super convenient when we are staying somewhere longer than over night, especially to have waters and leftovers in the mini fridge.
Overall we couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the Belltown Inn and I hope we are able to stay there again. I thought the Staff would be annoyed with us by the end because we were constantly asking them for recommendations and questions, but they were incredibly accommodating. If you are looking for where to stay in Seattle, The Belltown Inn should be at the top of your list!
