• A Letter To My Daughter | Dear Olivia

Darling Olivia, I have spent every minute of everyday with you for the last 40 weeks. You are the only person who knows what my heartbeat and terrible singing voice sound like from inside. You are going to change my life in so many ways but the biggest one being that you are going to make me a mom. From the moment I learned about you I have been filled with excitement and that excitement has only grown since September. I have always been so close with my mom and knowing that I have the opportunity of that relationship with you is life changing in and of itself. I look…

  • Nursery Reveal

While I have a feeling the nursery will be an ongoing project as we learn what Olivia likes, everything I wanted to have finished before her arrival has been completed! We still have some blank spaces to fill, but in time we will add those things to match her personality or to reflect things we find along the way. I am so happy with how everything turned out, from the wall color (props to Dave) to the wardrobe, I love it all! If you remember the inspiration I shared for the nursery, you will see some similarities. The wardrobe used to be mine, then all of my siblings used it as…

    Garden Baby Shower For Olivia

I’m not even sure how to explain the beautiful day that was our baby shower. I’m so incredibly thankful for all of the contributions, effort, thoughtfulness and love that went into every single detail. My mom and sister planned the perfect day and the weather couldn’t have been better. I constantly think back on some of my favorite memories- my bridal shower, bachelorette party, wedding, etc. and reminisce about being surrounded by so many friends and family and I’m so thankful. This day has absolutely joined those fond memories of our life. We have amazing people in our lives and I know the day we spent celebrating Olivia will always…

  • Why You Should Take Maternity Photos

I’m going to be 110% honest, before I got pregnant I had big plans for pregnancy. I wanted to document every single detail, take weekly photos if not more often than that, wear the cutest maternity clothes, feel great about what my body was doing, etc. etc. I had ALL THE Pinterest dreams. But let me tell you, they went out the window at 5.5 weeks when I couldn’t get my head out of the trashcan. Honestly, even if I wouldn’t have been sick at the beginning of my pregnancy, I don’t think I would have had the energy anyways. I’m really glad I documented the reaction of a lot…

  • Hospital Bag Checklist & Printable

I have read all the lists, watched all the vlogs and received all the advice on what to pack for the hospital. After taking in that information, going through the book from our birthing class and honestly taking a look at myself and my normal needs, I created these hospital bag checklists. While I am sure I am overpacking, we live 30 minutes from the hospital, and even though that distance isn’t crazy, I don’t want anyone to have to go back to our house when I can just be over-prepared from the start. I created a list for each of us (myself, Dave and Olivia) and added or removed…
