• Olivia Ronnie: 6 Months

WOW! 6 entire months have passed since I had Olivia. Like I say every month, I can’t believe it. I have some other post ideas if I ever get around to it, but for now, here is another post all about Olivia 😉 Size: Olivia is wearing 3-6 month and 6 month clothing. The 3-6 is getting a little short, but 6-9 month is still too long. She is 18 lbs and 8 ounces and 27 inches long. Eating: We started solid foods on Thanksgiving!! Her doctor gave us the go ahead and we started right before she turned 6 months. We planned on waiting a full 6 months, but…

  • Olivia Ronnie: 5 Months

HOW is it possible that I am already typing this post? Next month, Olivia will be 6 months old and we will be halfway to her first birthday. I’m always pretty future-focused but right now I would be fine with time standing still a little longer. top left photo by Anne Casey Photography Size: Olivia is mainly wearing size 3-6 clothes, almost out of size 2 diapers and her chubby little feet don’t fit into several shoes I had for her. Eating: Breastfeeding like a champ! We’re starting solids next month when she is 6 months and I am excited to see how she likes it. We’re going to try…

  • Olivia Ronnie: 3 Months

Something weird is happening with my blog. Every month from the 25th until the 1st, it’s down because of bandwidth. I don’t have the time to find a solution so from now on I am getting all my posts finished before the 25th…except in this case, this should have went live on August 28th and I forgot…whoops! The saying that the nights are long and the years are short is really true! I can’t believe how quickly we reached 3 months. It feels like Olivia has been in our lives forever but also for such a short amount of time. Since I didn’t do a 2 month update (#momfail) these…

  • One Month With Olivia Ronnie

This post is a little late but I actually had it written on time, getting the photos together isn’t my strong suit at the moment. This first month with Olivia has been amazing. She is the cutest little thing and we love her so much. I kept random notes throughout the month of things I want to remember. The very first night we had Olivia in our hospital room she was wide awake around 11 pm. Dave was sleeping soundly and I stared at our little girl for at least an hour until she got hungry, ate and fell asleep. She is the most precious thing to ever happen to…

  • Olivia’s Birth Story Part 2- Our First Days

If you would like to read part 1 of Olivia’s birth story, read it here.   After the delivery process was over I felt emotions that I can’t even explain. I felt calm, joyful, excited, and not the least bit tired, just a little worn out. I was so ready to have Olivia back on my chest to attempt to feed her. After a little while, they brought her over to me and explained her low blood sugar and high breathing rate. Because of the combination of the two, I wouldn’t be able to feed her unless both changed. However, skin-to-skin was a possible fix, so she laid on my…

  • Olivia’s Birth Story Part 1

During my pregnancy, I spent so much time reading birth stories and watching birth vlogs. I loved seeing the various experiences different women had and I cried along with them each time it got to the part of the baby being placed on their chest for the first time. I can’t believe I am sitting down to now write my own birth story. For starters, I had a very different idea of how my birth experience would go. I thought I would end up being induced, then labor for maybe 2 days and push for upwards of 4 hours. With the way my pregnancy had been going, I was trying…
