My Weekend With The Baltimore Baton

If you followed along on Instagram over the weekend, I had taken over The Baltimore Baton and took followers along for a rainy weekend ride. If you aren’t familiar with The Baltimore Baton (or aren’t from the MD area) here is a quick intro. The Baltimore Baton is founded by Megan from Soup of the Day (+ she is one of my bff’s) and it’s an Instagram account. Every weekend (and some weekdays) a new Baltimore local takes over the account to share their weekend. Depending on who the influencer for that weekend is you may see lots of delicious food options, beautiful hidden gems within the city, or simply…

{From Here To There} Waco, Texas

Oh, Wacotown. The place I have been dying to visit for at least 2 years now…totally thanks to Chip & Jojo. While Dave said he would have went, I figured it was the perfect trip to take with one of my best friends. I don’t think any guy would have enjoyed going to Magnolia Market a few times…let alone the 6 times Gina and I did over our 36 hours in the area. We landed on Friday night, got in our rental car and made the 1.5 hour drive down to Waco from Dallas. It was a quick and easy drive, though a bit scary because the highway went through…

  • From Here To There: Charleston & Carnival Ecstasy

I somehow forgot about our cruise on the Carnival Ecstasy until I realized I needed to work on the vlog from this trip. As always I like to include vlogs in my From Here To There posts, so what better time to recap this awesome trip! We just got back from a week in Breckenridge, so another vlog is on its way…eventually. We left on December 30th for Charleston and spent the night in the most incredible bed and breakfast, 21 East Bed & Breakfast. We basically had a townhouse for our room. I am going to do a full recap on this place, but for now look at this…

    Final Travel Update For 2016

I can’t believe this is already my third and final recap of our travel for 2016! Where in the world did the last 366 days go?! Looking back, I can’t believe we were still able to see somewhere new every single month of this year. It resulted in some exhaustion but it was well worth it. I feel like we are leaving this year behind with some of the best memories we will ever make, and even more “best day ever’s” While our plans changed some from the goals made in the first travel post, the USA has so much to see that we will always have more to explore.…

From Here To There: Birmingham, Alabama

My travel recaps are months behind, but in the next few months of less travel (and less overwhelm) I am excited to think back to the great adventures of 2016 and reflect on everything we did. Our weekend trip for October was to Birmingham, Alabama. I accidentally planned this trip for the same weekend as a huge race in Talledega and a college game day game at University of Alabama- whoops! This meant sold out hotels and packed restaurants. Thankfully, I had some other things planned. This trip was a slower trip compared to others we have taken this year, and we still managed to see some very cool…

  • Things To Do In Louisville: Copper & Kings Distillery

Before taking our trip to Louisville, I realized we needed to include some sort of distillery tasting in our short time there. There are so many things to do in Louisville, but I wanted to stick to tradition if we could. Bourbon is the drink of choice for the state of Kentucky, but I decided to look into some other options instead. Copper & Kings was highly recommended, not far outside of downtown and has one of the best rated views of the city. They make Brandy & various flavors of Absinthe in house. We biked from the Big Four Bridge and it was a 20 minute ride to Copper…
