My Weekend With The Baltimore Baton

If you followed along on Instagram over the weekend, I had taken over The Baltimore Baton and took followers along for a rainy weekend ride. If you aren’t familiar with The Baltimore Baton (or aren’t from the MD area) here is a quick intro. The Baltimore Baton is founded by Megan from Soup of the Day (+ she is one of my bff’s) and it’s an Instagram account. Every weekend (and some weekdays) a new Baltimore local takes over the account to share their weekend. Depending on who the influencer for that weekend is you may see lots of delicious food options, beautiful hidden gems within the city, or simply…

  • The Best Deal At The Port Of Nassau, Bahamas

I did a lot of research on things we could do with our port day in Nassau and it was quite tough when almost all of the options cost a pretty penny. You may remember that we sort-of last minute booked our NYE cruise for a great price and we didn’t want to turn this into an expensive trip in the slightest. Of course Carnival offered some great excursions, and we would have loved to swim with the dolphins in Atlantis, but it just wasn’t something we could see spending $200+ to do with 8 hours in port. My search continued. I found a few places that offered excursions for…

  • Travel Goals For 2017

Traveling in 2016 was nonstop for us, and while that was amazing we decided to slow things down a little bit heading into this year. I am a bit sad when I look at my planner and see full months without any trips or vacations, but I also know that we are giving ourselves space to take one vacation of a lifetime, another to enjoy a week with family, and then some time in-between to explore. We took over 20 trips last year, which is a huge blessing. But it taught us that the number of vacations you take doesn’t equal happiness. The memories you make, the places you learn…

  • My 5 Favorite Things About Disney World (As An Adult)

I am back from two wirlwind trips over the last two weeks and I am excited to start recapping them! I am going out of order today and sharing my favorite things from our most recent trip which was Disney World! This was my first time staying at a Disney property and I am fairly certain I will for every Disney trip that is to come. It really is true that it’s the most magical place on earth- especially during the Christmas season! It has taken me almost 10 years to get back to Disney and it’s totally different as an adult, which is why I thought it would be…

  • How To Make The Perfect Travel Itinerary

Most of our trips are short weekend getaways, with a few week long trips and long weekends in the mix. Because we often only get to see 24-48 hours of a given city, and we may never be back again, I try to plan the travel itinerary as well as I can in each place. We have tried to have some trips where we mainly just relax and only have a few loose plans, and other trips where we planned things for the time we are there, in order to compare which style we liked better. In the end we liked the plans, who would have guessed?! It makes us…

  • Exploring Isla Mujeres, Mexico By Golf Cart

Our anniversary vacation started off in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, which is a small island off the coast of Cancun. For a $10ish and a 30-minute boat ride, you can spend a day, or a few, on a 5-mile island soaking up the sun. We have friends that visit Isla fairly often, as in several times a year, and they can’t stop talking about how amazing it is. Of course this meant that we needed to see if for ourselves and I started planning. Isla Mujeres is small, but not walk the whole island small, because why would you do that when you can rent a golf cart and really go…
